My bloodwork came back normal: what that means in perimenopause

Your bloodwork came back normal and you still feel awful. Both of those can be true at once.

Estrogen can swing wildly within the same week, so a single hormone panel catches one moment in time. It is not a reliable way to rule perimenopause in or out, and most menopause specialists do not diagnose from it at all.

What does count: your symptoms over time, and how your periods have changed. Bring your log, say the words "I think this is perimenopause," and ask what they would recommend if it is. That is a hard question to wave off.
